NEW INFO — HOW TO FIND HOA PRESIDENTS AND HOA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES

“HOW DO I FIND HOA INFORMATION, AND WHO IS THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY?”
Here are a few tricks to help with this mystery-

Go to SUNBIZ Left column LOOK UP A BUSINESS NAME
First link INQUIRE BY NAME
Type in the name of your Subdivision in question, it doesn’t have to be complete (ex. Try FISHHAWK TRAILS)- see what pops up first?
FISH HAWK TRAILS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC. Now click on the link, this will tell you who is the President, VP, Sec, etc. of the association.
411 or Google the President, and ask them- of course if they are self managed, this will be your contact person anyway.

Now, finding a MANAGEMENT COMPANY is a little more tricky. Often times, you can GOOGLE “HOA (enter name) MANAGEMENT COMPANY” and sometimes you will get it. Another trick is to go to the Clerk’s website (HILLSCLERK for example), type in the name of the HOA to search, then pull a LIEN that was recently filed, often times an attorney does this for them, but read the Lien itself- it will show the name of the MANAGEMENT COMPANY in the body of the Lien.

***NEW ONE*** ( I used this trick last week for those REALLY hard to find ones). Pull a list of recent sales in the neighborhood, pull the deed on it…..see who the PREPARED BY on the deed shows (what title company or law firm). Call and ask the title company to share the info from their file. We are suckers for nice real estate agents 🙂

If you cannot turn it up this way, please feel free to email me and I can further assist you.

That’s the lesson for this week! I hope you all are finding this useful. Feel free to email me to let me know what lessons you’d like to see next. Feel free to forward to anyone you may think could find this information useful as well.

Have a great week!
